Pa. Court Dismisses Claims Against ZEP Manufacturing for Lack of Cause

PITTSBURGH -- A benzene case pending in Pennsylvania federal court has been dismissed as filed against ZEP Manufacturing Co., less than a week after the court ordered the plaintiff to show cause. Motko, et al. v. ZEP Manufacturing, et al., No. 07-00896 (W.D. Pa.).
In a one-page order issued March 16, the Honorable Alan N. Bloch of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania granted the voluntary motion to dismiss.
The claims were asserted by Mary Motko on behalf of Paul Motko, whom she claims developed leukemia as a result of exposure to benzene.
