Benzene Defendant in Mass. Complaint Files for Bankruptcy

BOSTON -- A defendant named in a Massachusetts benzene complaint has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, according to a recent filing in the federal court where the Liquid Wrench complaint is pending. Milward, et al. v. Acuity Specialty Products Group Inc., et al., No. 07-11944 (D. Mass.).

A notice of bankruptcy was filed on Feb. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts by Nicus Corp. [Nicus Corp., No. 09-30512 (N.D. Texas Bankruptcy Ct.)].

"Pursuant to 11 U.S.C. §362, all further matters with regard to the Defendant in the above-referenced cause are automatically stayed," the filing said. …
