Asbestos and Benzene Exposure Case Filed in Delaware by Texas Residents

WILMINGTON, Del. -- A new complaint filed in Delaware state court alleges that a former journeyman insulator developed renal cell carcinoma as a result of exposure to a variety of carcinogens, including benzene. Silva, et al. v. BP Amoco Chemical Co., et al., No. 08C-11-197 BEN (Del. Super. Ct., New Castle Cty.).
Plaintiffs Juan and Anita Silva, residents of Texas, filed the complaint in November in the Delaware Superior Court for New Castle County, arguing that the law of Texas governs their claims.
