Plaintiffs Say Discovery Documents Pertain to Wrong Time Period

CHICAGO -- A benzene plaintiff in Illinois has filed an emergency motion to compel documents from a former employer, contending that the material safety data sheets proffered by the defendant do not pertain to the time period in which the alleged exposure occurred. Gonzalez v. Citgo Petroleum Corp., et al., No. 2008L010329 (Ill. Cir. Ct., Cook Cty.).

In the Dec. 5 motion filed in the Illinois Circuit Court for Cook County, plaintiff Sharon Gonzalez says that the documents are necessary to determine the chemical composition of the products she claims caused her to develop acute myelogenous leukemia.
