SAN FRANCISCO -- The California First District Court of Appeal was scheduled to hear oral arguments in a duty to warn dispute on Dec. 18, according to the court's online docket. Taylor, et al. v. Crane Co., et al., No. A117648 (Calif. Ct. App., 1st Dist., Div. 5).
During the hearing, the intermediate appellate court heard from asbestos defendant Leslie Controls on whether it owed a duty to warn plaintiffs of asbestos dangers associated with its valve products, which, the defendant claims, did not "create or contribute to the danger to be warned against."
