PHILADELPHIA -- A Pennsylvania court has affirmed its award of summary judgment to three asbestos defendants, which in part found that the plaintiffs failed to establish proper product identification. Kurns, et al. v. Airco Welders Supply Inc., et al., June Term, 2007 No. 01384 (Pa. 1st Jud. Dist., Ct. Comm. Pls., Philadelphia Cty.).
In the recent decision from the First Judicial District Court, the court also declined to expand the scope of the Boiler Inspection Act to include those injuries allegedly occurring from work done in shops.
