Jury Awards $1.5 Million, Finds John Crane 1 Percent Liable

SAN FRANCISCO -- A jury in California has awarded nearly $1.5 million in a case involving a former boilermaker and machinist, but found that John Crane was only 1 percent liable for the plaintiff's injuries. Rogers, et al. v. John Crane Inc., et al., No. 430089 (Calif. Super. Ct., San Francisco Cty.).
John Crane was the only remaining defendant at the time of the Sept. 2 verdict from the San Francisco County Superior Court.
The trial was presided over by Judge Marla J. Miller.
