Jurors Award $2.45 Million After Phase I of Trial; Parties Later Settle




PHILADELPHIA -- A jury in Pennsylvania awarded $2.45 million to a former U.S. Navy repairman in a trial involving pumps and turbines, but the parties reached a confidential settlement before the second phase of the trial could begin, sources told HarrisMartin. Stralo, et al. v. Alfa Laval, et al., April Term 2007, Case No. 00187 (Pa. Ct. Comm. Pls., Philadelphia Cty.).

The Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas jurors reached the verdict June 11 after Phase I of the reverse bifurcated trial presided over by Judge Gary S. Glazer.
