MIAMI -- A Florida judge has denied Honeywell International Inc.'s post-trial motions, filed after a jury awarded $24,170,000 in what sources told HarrisMartin was the largest compensatory damage verdict against a single defendant in Florida's history. Guilder, et al. v. Honeywell International, Inc., No. 07-36683 (Fla. 11th Jud. Cir. Ct, Miami-Dade Cty.).
In a one-page order entered June 10, Judge Richard Yale Feeder of the 11th Judicial Circuit Court for Miami-Dade County denied Honeywell's motion for a new trial and, in the alternative, for judgment in accordance with a prior motion for directed verdict.
