Judge Remands Asbestos Claims Removed After Bankruptcy Court's Provisional Transfer

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The West Virginia judge who remanded more than 150 asbestos cases previously removed to federal court by the Big Three auto manufacturers, - then reminded his staff not to process additional removal forms - has again remanded a number of claims to Kanawha County Circuit Court. In Re: Claims Removed By Honeywell International Inc., Misc. No. 2:01-MC-0104 (S.D. W.Va.).

This time, Judge Charles H. Haden II granted plaintiffs' motion to remand 372 state cases that Honeywell International Inc. attempted to remove on Dec. 27, claiming they were related to the Federal-Mogul bankruptcy.
