5th Circuit Affirms Summary Judgment in Case Against Asbestos Attorneys

NEW ORLEANS -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit has affirmed the dismissal of claims asserted by an asbestos plaintiff who accused his counsel of concealing information regarding settlement proceedings. Jacobs, et al. v. Tapscott, et al., No. 07-10558 (5th Cir.).
In the May 8 order, the 5th Circuit affirmed two orders, one that granted a summary judgment motion on several of the claims and a second awarding a judgment notwithstanding the verdict on claims that did proceed to a jury.
