Parties Reach Settlement 1 Week into Asbestos Exposure Trial

PENSACOLA, Fla. -- The parties remaining in an asbestos case have reached a confidential settlement after one week of trial, sources told HarrisMartin. Blalock v. Georgia-Pacific Corp., et al., No. 2004-CA-1663 (Fla. 1st Jud. Cir. Ct., Escambia Cty.).
Trial had begun in the Florida First Judicial Circuit Court for Escambia County before remaining defendant Georgia-Pacific and plaintiff Bruce Blalock reached the agreement on March 14, sources said.
The trial was presided over by Judge Paul Rasmussen.
