Parties Reach Settlement after $8.6 Million Phase I Verdict Entered




PHILADELPHIA -- Shortly after a jury awarded $8.6 million to the widow of a former general contractor, the remaining parties reached confidential settlement agreements, sources told HarrisMartin. Scherr, et al. v. Allis Chalmers Corp., et al., May 2006 No. 0902 (Pa. Ct. Comm. Pls., Philadelphia Cty.).

The Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Philadelphia County, jury reached the verdict in the damages portion of the reverse bifurcated trial on Feb. 20.
