Defendant Seeks Order Allowing Deposition of Diagnosing Doctors

LANSING, Mich. -- An asbestos defendant has sought emergency relief from the Michigan Court of Appeals, contending that a trial court order denying them the chance to depose diagnosing doctors will cause the company irreparable harm. Anderson v. Sure Seal Products, No. 282283 (Mich. Ct. App.).
On Nov. 30, Sure Seal Products filed a emergency petition for interlocutory appeal in hopes that the appellate court will reverse the trial court order, thus allowing the defendant to depose the diagnosing physicians in 45 cases scheduled for January 2008 trials.
