SAN FRANCISCO -- Asbestos defendant Viad Corp. has prevailed at the end of a nine-day asbestos trial in California after the jury accepted the argument that the company did not owe a duty to warn the plaintiff because the potential dangers of asbestos were unknown at the time the alleged exposure occurred. Andregg, et al. v. A.W. Chesterton Co., et al., No. 274208 (Calif. Super. Ct., San Francisco Cty.).
