California Friction Defendants File Opposition to Motion for Revised Market Share Standard

SAN FRANCISCO - A new set of interrogatories that plaintiffs in the California asbestos litigation claim will make it easier to prove market share liability in friction product cases actually complicates the litigation process and shouldn't be employed by the court, friction defendants now argue. In Re: Complex Asbestos Litigation, No. 828684 (Calif. Super. Ct., San Francisco Cty.).
In responses to plaintiffs' motion for a revised market share order, which was filed last February, the friction defendants contend the proposed interrogatories are "onerous" and won't serve the efficiency they were designed to create.
