LOS ANGELES -- California jurors have awarded $35.1 million to a former pipefitter and his wife, assessing 7.1 percent liability each to remaining defendants Leslie Controls and Warren Pumps, sources told HarrisMartin. John Davis, et al. v. American Standard, et al., No. BC367464 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).
The Los Angeles County Superior Court jury reached the verdict late on Oct. 12 after a five-week trial and one day of deliberations. Judge Mark Mooney presided over the proceedings.
