Ill. Jury Finds for Employer Defendant in Secondhand Exposure Case

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- An Illinois jury has found for a defendant in a secondhand exposure asbestos lawsuit after a jury accepted its claim that the warnings given to the plaintiff's father, an employee, were appropriate for the time period. Larson v. NL Industries, et al., No. 07-L-158 (Ill. Jud. Cir. Ct., Madison Cty.).
The Oct. 10 defense verdict was returned by jurors in the Illinois Judicial Circuit Court for Madison County after a four-day trial presided over by Judge Clarence Harrison.
