La. High Court Declines Look at Shipyard Asbestos Verdict Dispute

NEW ORLEANS -- The Louisiana Supreme Court has denied a writ application filed by asbestos plaintiffs who contended that an intermediate appellate court was wrong in reversing a bench trial verdict in favor of the plaintiffs. Palermo v. The Port of New Orleans, et al., No. 2007-C-0363 (La. Sup. Ct.).

Two justices on the Louisiana Supreme Court opined that they would have granted the application, however, with one justice assigning reasons in the June 15 decision.
