AUSTIN, Texas -- Defendants seeking a writ of mandamus from Texas' highest court have complied with the court's request to fully brief the issue, reiterating its contention in an April 5 brief that a lower court ruling "throws open the evidentiary gates to any and all general causation." In re: Garlock Sealing Technologies and Georgia-Pacific Corp., No. 06-0881 (Texas Sup. Ct.).
