LANSING, Mich. - Several groups have filed an amici curiae brief in Michigan's Supreme Court disputing the causal connection between automobile mechanic work and an increased risk for developing mesothelioma, saying that related lawsuits have been based on speculative expert opinion rather than epidemiological studies. Chapin, et al. v. Daimler Chrysler Corp., et al., No. 133178 (Mich. Sup. Ct.).
