CHICAGO -- An Illinois court has barred the testimony of a memory expert witness, citing a prior decision in which the court cautioned against the overuse of expert testimony. Breske, et al. v. John Crane, et al., No. 05 L 003923 (Ill. Cir. Ct., Cook Cty.).
The Jan. 13 order by the Illinois Circuit Court for Cook County effectively barred the testimony of Dr. Charles Weaver in an asbestos case.
Gloria Breske, who asserted the claims on behalf of John Breske, moved to bar the testimony of Weaver.
