CLEVELAND -- An Ohio appellate court has dismissed as moot a California lawyer's attempt to appeal an order revoking his right to practice in an Ohio state courtroom, according to the court's docket. Kananian, et al. v. Lorillard Tobacco Co., et al., No. 89448 (Ohio 8th App. Dist.).

The Eighth Appellate District of the Ohio Court of Appeals docket says the appeal was dismissed on Feb. 21 as moot. Sources said that the court cited Miner v. Witt (1910, 82 Ohio St. 237) in its decision to dismiss the appeal of California-based asbestos attorney Chris Andreas, whose pro hac vice …
