AUSTIN, Texas -- The Texas Supreme Court has asked the parties involved in a dispute over whether plaintiffs can proceed with chrysotile exposure claims to fully brief the issue. In re: Garlock Sealing Technologies and Georgia-Pacific Corp., No. 06-0881 (Texas Sup. Ct.).
According to a Feb. 6 briefing schedule, Garlock Sealing Technologies and Georgia-Pacific Corp. were to have filed their briefs before March 8; the plaintiffs were to have filed a response by March 28; and a reply brief was to have been filed by the defendants by April 12.
