California Asbestos Firm Closing Its Doors

SAN FRANCISCO - A California asbestos firm with deep, nationwide roots in the litigation has decided to call it quits.
Members of the San Francisco-based Wartnick, Chaber, Harowitz & Tigerman announced earlier last month that they will be disbanding, thus ending a six-year partnership and months of speculation that partner Harry Wartnick would be leaving the firm for health reasons.
photo-4The separation won't be immediate, and the transition is expected to take several months.
Wartnick will continue handling appeals of ongoing asbestos cases, as well as clients' bankruptcy claims. The balance of the firm's active asbestos work will …
