Advocate Mines Wins Disputed Asbestosis Case

SAN FRANCISCO -- Asbestos defendant Advocate Mines has received a defense verdict in a disputed asbestosis case, in which the plaintiff claimed his illness was caused by asbestos fibers supplied by the lone remaining defendant. Hill v. Advocate Mines, et al., No. 421716 (Calif. Super. Ct., San Francisco Cty.).
The Sept. 8 verdict was reached after two weeks of trial and after one day of deliberations by the jury in the California Superior Court for San Francisco County. Judge Thomas Mellon Jr. oversaw the proceedings.
