In late September, W.R. Grace & Co.'s stock price began recovering from a mid-month decline of nearly 25 percent. The U.S. government sued Grace last month to gain access to the company's Libby, Mont., vermiculite mine. It announced later that air quality tests around the mine had revealed little cause for concern.
