Jury Finds for Union Carbide in Reverse Bifurcation Asbestosis Case




PHILADELPHIA -- A Philadelphia jury has determined that an Italian immigrant's injuries were caused by asbestos and awarded $1 million in damages for those claims, but has ultimately found no liability on the part of Union Carbide, the lone remaining defendant in the case. Domenico Dattilo vs. Union Carbide Corporation, Bell Asbestos, ACL et al, October Term, 2004, No. 3716 (Pa. Ct. Comm. Pls, Philadelphia Cty.).
