NEW ORLEANS - Asbestos victims seeking recompense from the Babcock & Wilcox Co. (B&W) have begun submitting claims to the company and may continue to do so through July 30, 2001, as a part of the B&W's Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization. In re: the Babcock & Wilcox Co., et al., No. 00-0558 (E.D. La.).
A Louisiana district court judge set the bar date on Oct. 30, 2000, and ordered the company to begin notifying potential claimants of the claims process and deadline.
