U.S. District Court for District of Massachusetts Chosen to Host Zonolite Attic Insulation MDL

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Lawsuits filed against makers of Zonolite Attic Insulation will be consolidated before Judge Patti B. Saris of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts as MDL No. 1376. In re: Zonolite Attic Insulation Litigation, MDL #1376 (D. Mass.).

A representative at the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation said Dec. 9 that the Massachusetts site was chosen to host the litigation, which alleges that makers of the insulation failed to warn consumers that the product was contaminated with tremolite, "a rare and exceedingly deadly form of asbestos."
