Virginia Jury Enters $10.4 Million Verdict Against John Crane

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- A jury has awarded $10.4 million in what sources claim is the first asbestos verdict entered against John Crane in Virginia. Jones, et al. v. John Crane Inc., No. n/a (Va. Cir. Ct. City of Newport News).

On July 26, the Circuit Court for the City of Newport News jury awarded $10 million in compensatory damages and $400,000 in medical expenses, allocating 34 percent of this liability to John Crane.
