Court Says Premises Defendant Unaware of Second-Hand Exposure Dangers

HOUSTON ---- A Texas appellate court has reversed a plaintiff verdict in a take-home exposure case, finding that ExxonMobil was unaware of take-home exposure dangers during the years the plaintiff alleged asbestos exposure occurred. ExxonMobil Corp., et al. v. Altimore, et al., No. 14-04-01133-CV (Texas 14th Ct. App.).
In an Aug. 1 decision, the Texas Fourteenth Court of Appeals ordered the trial court to enter a take-nothing judgment in the claims asserted against ExxonMobil, a premises defendant in Louise Altimore's case.
