PITTSBURGH -- White Consolidated Industries has filed an amended complaint against several insurers the company says owed them a defense and indemnification for underlying asbestos claims. White Consolidated Industries v. Travelers Indemnity Co., et al., No. 96-01026 (W.D. Pa.).
White Consolidated Industries (WCI) filed the complaint July 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, citing policies issued to subsidiary Blaw-Knox Co.
WCI says in the amended complaint that, 'the pending (and expected) lawsuits allege bodily injury or death resulting from alleged continuous exposure, during the periods of coverage provided by various general liability insurance policies …
