Jury Finds Defendant's Evaporators Didn't Cause Decedent's Mesothelioma

DALLAS -- A Texas jury has found for defendant Viad Corp. in a mesothelioma trial, accepting the defendant's argument that it did not place asbestos in the evaporators to which the decedent was allegedly exposed. Riggle, et al. v. Allis-Chalmers Corp., et al., No. DV04-01018-L (Texas 68th Jud. Dist., Dallas Cty.).
The 68th Judicial District Court for Dallas County jury returned the verdict on Dec. 14 after eight days of trial and a half-an-hour of deliberations.
