LOS ANGELES -- A California jury has found in favor of six defendants who were named in a wrongful death action alleging that exposure to asbestos occurred during the decedent's plumbing career. Dean, et al. v. Bondex International, et al., No. BC332247 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).
The Los Angeles County Superior Court reached the verdict on Nov. 28 after a five-week trial before Judge Ronald Sohigian.
The three adult heirs to the estate of Michael Mikul asserted the claims, contending that Mikul's 30-year career as a plumber exposed him to asbestos-containing joint compound manufactured by Bondex, Dowman Products, …
