icAendic Philadelphia attorney and advocate for plaintiffs in polio vaccine products liability cases says he has discovered evidence that threatens to impede further inquiries into whether SV40 plays a role in initiating mesothelioma.
photo-1In a December issue of Anticancer Research, Stanley P. Kops says that despite assurances to the contrary, internal documents and testimony from at least one drug manufacturer suggest that oral polio vaccines may have remained contaminated with SV40 long after 1961, when the government forced manufacturers to screen vaccines for the virus.
