Texas Plaintiffs Petition High Court to Review Admissibility Dispute




BEAUMONT, Texas - Plaintiffs have asked the Texas Supreme Court to reinstate an $850,000 verdict that was reversed by a Texas Appellate Court on testimony admissibility grounds. Mobil Oil Corp., et al. v. Pearlie Bailey, et al. No. 06-0444 (Texas Sup. Ct.).

The asbestos plaintiffs filed the petition for review on June 1 in the Texas Supreme Court.

Pearlie Bailey, James Thibodeaux, Kevin, Paul and Carolyn Bailey sued Mobil Oil Corp. in the 60th District Court of Jefferson County, Texas (No. B-150,374), for the alleged wrongful death of James Bailey. The plaintiffs claimed that James Bailey developed and died from …
