Sources: Widow Awarded $1 Million for Mental Anguish




FORT WORTH, Texas - A Texas jury has awarded $1 million for mental anguish to the widow of a career drywaller who died from mesothelioma two years ago, HarrisMartin is reporting. Lowery v. Bondex International, et. al. No. 067-2023722-03, (Texas 153rd Jud. Dist. Ct., Tarrant Cty.).

The 153rd Judicial District Court for Tarrant County, Texas, jury deliberated for one day after the 13-day trial, issuing the verdict June 28, sources said. The jury found Bondex International 20 percent liable for Christine Lowery's suffering. Her husband, Frank Lowery, was diagnosed with malignant mesothelioma in September 2003.
