$13.5 Million Award Entered in Re-trial of Meso Case

DALLAS -- A Texas jury has awarded $13.5 million in the re-trial of a mesothelioma case, assessing lone defendant Georgia-Pacific 75 percent of the liability. Bostic, et al. v. Georgia-Pacific Co., No. CC-03-01977-C (Texas Cty. Ct., at Law #3, Dallas Cty.).

However, because of joint and several law in Texas, Georgia-Pacific will be responsible for the entire $13.5 million award entered on June 8 by the Dallas County Court at Law No. 3 jury, sources told HarrisMartin.
