Several Groups Support Formation of Inactive Docket in Michigan

LANSING, Mich. -- Several special interest groups have filed an amicus curiae brief in Michigan's high court, supporting a proposed order that would establish an inactive asbestos docket in a single county in the state. In re: Proposed Administrative Order Regarding Asbestos-Related Disease Litigation, ADM File No. 2003-47 (Mich. Sup. Ct.).

The Michigan Supreme Court oversaw a hearing related to the proposed order on May 23 but has yet to take further action, sources told HarrisMartin.
