photo-12Pfizer in late February was hit with an $18 million verdict in El Paso, Texas, after a laborer claimed he was exposed to a subsidiary's asbestos-containing products. But it did little to unnerve investors who kept this pharmaceutical giant's stock price right around $45 a share, just $4 shy of its 52-week high. Pfizer said it plans to appeal the verdict.
