TOPKEA, Kansas -- Both the Kansas House of Representatives and Senate have passed an asbestos and silica medical criteria bill, sending the legislation to Governor Kathleen Sebelius who is expected to sign the bill into law.
The Kansas House of Representatives passed the Asbestos and Silica Claims Act (S.B. 512) by a vote of 111-11 on May 1, while the Senate unanimously passed the legislation 40-0 on May 2.
