USG Calls on Debtors to Vote for Confirmation of Bankruptcy Plan

WILMINGTON, Del. -- USG Corp. has filed a notice asking holders of asbestos-related personal injury claims to vote to accept or reject the company's plan or reorganization, which was filed April 5. In re: USG Corporation, No. 01-2094 (D. Del. Bankr.).

In the notice filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, the asbestos defendant says that a hearing to consider confirmation of the plan is scheduled for June 15 and 16.

According to the notice, only those holding asbestos personal injury claims can vote to accept or reject the plan. The plan calls for a trust …
