Federal Court Awards Attorneys Fees, Finds Removal Was Improper

PORTLAND, Ore. -- A federal court has awarded nearly $8,000 in attorneys fees and costs to a plaintiff who claimed her wrongful death lawsuit was improperly removed. Fredrickson, et al. v. Consolidated Supply Corp., et al., No. 05-CV-1704 (D. Ore.).

On March 21, Judge Anna J. Brown of the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon found that the removal of the asbestos claims was unnecessary and granted the motion for attorneys fees and costs.
