icCendiconsumer class action lawsuits filed recently against W.R. Grace & Co. allege that the vermiculite used to produce Zonolite Attic Insulation contains asbestos and may cause serious illness if the insulation becomes 'friable' and is inhaled or ingested.
As of late last month, the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation was considering placing MDL #1376 - 'In re Zonolite Attic Insulation Products Liability Litigation' on its long list of mass torts on the federal docket.
