Jury Finds for Defense in California Asbestos Case

LOS ANGELES -- A jury has found for two remaining defendants in a California asbestos trial during which the plaintiffs claimed in part that refrigeration repair work resulted in exposure to asbestos. Henry, et al. v. Alfa Laval Inc., et al., No. BC332841 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).
The Los Angeles Superior Court jury reached the verdict on Jan. 13. Sources told HarrisMartin that Cooper Cameron Corp. and Elliot Co. were the only defendants remaining at the time of the verdict. Judge James C. Chalfant of the California Superior Court for Los Angeles County presided over the trial.
