LOS ANGELES -- A California appellate court has reversed an award of summary judgment, finding that the plaintiff had in fact identified several possible ways in which asbestos provided by Union Carbide was present in her deceased husband's workplace. Norris, et al. v. Union Carbide Corp, et al., No. B174083 (Calif. Ct. App., 2nd Dist., Div. 7).
In the Nov. 28 decision, the Second District of the California Court of Appeals found that Susan Norris satisfied the product identification burden and reversed the grant of summary judgment to Union Carbide.
