Jury Finds for Defense in Asbestosis Trial

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- An Illinois jury has found for Garlock Sealing Technologies at the conclusion of a trial during which the plaintiffs alleged that the decedent was exposed to asbestos-containing gaskets. White, et al. v. Garlock Sealing Technologies, et al., No. 02 L 136 (Ill. Cir. Ct., McLean Cty.).
The Illinois Circuit Court for McLean County reached the verdict on Dec. 1 after a four-week trial overseen by Judge James Souk.
