SAN FRANCISCO -- The California Supreme Court has agreed to weigh on whether another state's statute of repose can bar the asbestos claims of a plaintiff who moved to California 30 years ago. McCann v. Foster Wheeler, No. S162435 (Calif. Sup. Ct.).
On May 21, the state's high court voted to accept a petition for review filed by Foster Wheeler, which is challenging an intermediate appellate court's decision to reverse an order dismissing the claims against the company.
