PHILADELPHIA ---- Sources indicated that defense attorneys involved with the federal Asbestos MDL have served subpoenas on doctors and screening companies with involvement in 30,000 cases pending in the MDL.
An estimated 150,000-200,000 plaintiffs are involved in the cases, sources said. Subpoenas have so far been served on Drs. Andrew Harron, Ray Harron, Barry Levy, George Martindale and Walter Allen Oaks.
According to an exhibit obtained by HarrisMartin, the subpoena is requesting various screening records, including radiology narratives; B readers' reports; original chest X-rays; electronic pulmonary function tests; all files relating to testing, screening or diagnosing; and invoices.
